A UNESCO World Heritage plateau at over 2,000 metres where the montane grassland and cloud forest ends abruptly at World’s End – the sheer cliff edge that drops 880 metres to the southern lowland plains in one of the most dramatic natural viewpoints available anywhere in South Asia. The walk to World’s End through the highland ecosystem, past sambar deer grazing in the early mist and Baker’s Falls tumbling through a cloud forest glade, is best completed by 9am before the daily cloud closes the view completely.
